Justin Timberlake, looking toward the unknown release of his new album, takes to YouTube to continue firing up the hype machine.
Remember those days when the name Justin didn’t belong to Bieber, but instead identified JT, THE Justin Timberlake? Timberlake: The man whose sweet voice charmed us all. Ladies and gentleman, the true Justin is back.
Timberlake used the power of twitter to announce his reemergence in the music realm. On Jan. 10, Timberlake directed his 15 million twitter followers to a YouTube clip. In the short video filmed in black and white, we follow Justin as he walks through a recording studio. Timberlake’s voice-over explains why he waited so long to get back in the recording booth, saying, “I don’t want to put anything out that I feel like is something I don’t love, you just don’t get that every day. You have to wait for it.”
And then the video halts as JT slides on his headphones and with the ultimate level of swagger, Timberlake declares, “I’m ready.”
There are no clear details about Justin Timberlake’s upcoming music endeavors. And to add to the mystery, Timberlake keeps teasing his fans by tweeting, “#YouNeverKnow #JT2013.”
In recent years, Timberlake has focused his energy into his acting career. His most acclaimed role was as Napster founder Sean Parker in the Oscar-winning film The Social Network. So JT fans will definitely be excited with the news that he’s laying down some new tracks.
