Anderson .Paak performed last Wednesday night at the Schine Underground for University Union’s Bandersnatch concert series. Rap group Zero Fatigue opened up for .Paak to a particularly small crowd. Zero Fatigue used the small turnout to their advantage, running through the crowd and even rapping battle-style in the middle of a circle of attendees.
.Paak is one of Rap/R&B’s rising stars. He has been creating major buzz ever since his six features on Dr. Dre’s 2015 album “Compton,” and has capitalized on that initial buzz ever since he dropped his sophomore album “Malibu” in January.
.Paak put on a very solid performance with the support of his band The Free Nationals. They really delivered musically, and .Paak even showed off his drumming skills when he hopped on the drum set a few times throughout the performance. .Paak displayed that he has the pipes, and hit every single note.
The crowd definitely felt the energy by the end of the set as .Paak climbed over the railing multiple times and stood on the speakers to great effect. The only thing wrong with .Paak’s performance was that it ended.
Here are some photos from the performance:
